The Future Jobs Fund is a fund of around £1 billion to support the creation of jobs for long term unemployed young people and others who face significant disadvantage in the labour market.

These will be aimed primarily at 18-24 year olds who have been out of work for a year.

Nationally the Future Jobs Fund aims to create 205,000 additional jobs, primarily aimed at 18-24 year olds who have been out of work for six months and claiming Jobseekers Allowance to deliver real benefits to communities. The Future Jobs Fund is a part of the Young Person’s Guarantee. From 2010, everyone in between the ages of 18 and 24 who has been looking for six months will get an offer of a job, work experience, or training lasting at least 6 months.
